Having completed Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at the University of Florida, Dr. Brian Low received additional surgical training from the University of Miami, Wake Forest University, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and Harvard University Massachusetts General Hospital.

Dr. Brian Low is a Board Certified Diplomate of American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. Along with Dr. Low’s practices in Hilton Head and Bluffton he served as the Chief of Staff at Coastal Carolina Hospital. Dr. Low is certified in CPR by the American Heart Association and in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

Dr. Low is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, International Associate of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association and South Carolina Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

In addition to office-based procedures, Dr. Low is also credentialed to perform inpatient procedures at the surrounding hospitals and ambulatory surgery at Hilton Head Surgical Suites. For our more advanced procedures, our facility in Bluffton is able to offer the highest level of outpatient care accredited by the most demanding OR certification agency. The American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities was created in order to establish high standards when it comes to patient care in facilities offering ambulatory procedures. Being accredited by the AAAASF ensures patients that their safety is a top priority at any facility that has been recognized by this reputable association.

DR. Justin Odette

American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery

Dr. Justin Odette hails from Tyler, Texas, where he graduated from high school in 2007. He pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, earning a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 2011. During his time there, he was a standout athlete, starting for the men’s soccer team all four years. Dr. Odette then attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry under a Naval scholarship program, graduating with his Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2017. Following dental school, he was selected for the prestigious Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, completing his training in 2021.

Naval Service and Surgical Innovation

Dr. Odette served 12 years in the U.S. Navy, with significant contributions to oral and maxillofacial surgery. After residency, he was stationed aboard the USS Theodore Roosevelt for two years, operating from the ship, as well as out of Naval Hospital Bremerton in Washington state. In 2023, he transitioned to Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California, where he served as a staff surgeon until his separation from the Navy in July 2025. During his service, Dr. Odette was a pioneer in virtual surgical planning and in-house 3D printing of patient-specific surgical guides and prostheses. He played a key role in educating residents across Army, Navy, and Air Force Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery programs, advancing surgical techniques and patient care.

Now practicing in South Carolina, Dr. Odette is a highly skilled oral and maxillofacial surgeon specializing in procedures such as dental implants, wisdom teeth removal, oral pathology, and complex reconstructive hard and soft tissue surgeries. His expertise in cutting-edge technologies, including virtual surgical planning, ensures precision and optimal outcomes for his patients. Dr. Odette is committed to providing compassionate care to patients of all ages and backgrounds, maintaining the highest standards in his field.

Dr. Odette is board-certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and is an active member of professional organizations, including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the American Dental Association. He continues to stay at the forefront of his field through ongoing education and training.

Settling into South Carolina with his wife, Lyssa, and their three children, Rubi, Rosie, and Richard, Dr. Odette embraces family life and community involvement. In his free time, he enjoys outdoor activities, exploring the Lowcountry, and spending quality time with his family. Dr. Odette is dedicated to serving his new community both as a surgeon and an active participant in local life.
